i have been a fan of light bearer ever since i heard about it being made up of ex-members of fall of efrafa. everything they have released so far has been really amazing to me. this new album is no exception. was blown away from the first listen and it just keeps getting better.
be sure to do yourself a solid and check this out

lo-fi r and b
i was honestly expecting not to like how to dress well at all when i heard about them. for some reason, lo-fi and r & b didn't seem like they would go together well but fuck i was wrong. just listen to the song, my body:
just amazing. it reminds me of grouper with a greater pop sensibility.

dragged into sunlight - hatred for mankind
i first decided to check this band out do to the fact that one of my favourite artists did the artwork (justin bartlett) and i try to check out every band he does artwork for. at first i wasn't a huge fan of this album but after a couple of listens it grew on me. dark, murky, filthy and 100% disgusting. the vocals are ridiculous, the guitars sound really gross, and the drums to me seem a bit off kilter. feels like i need to take a shower after i listen to this album

aceta - sketches
not going to lie. i am friends with the members of this band. great guys really. their music reminds me of post-rock mixed with the band, failure (thanks andrew!) really atmospheric, calm and relaxing. i am also featured in the gang chorus in the song ladders, so that's alright. also, if you happen to live in winnipeg and have access to shaw, they have an interview and live performance that plays every now and again on the shaw channel.
ps:
check out this have a nice life cover, which i sang five words on. weeeee.

hi
i have put stuff on this blog before but since then have deleted them. lack of caring is the main reason i suppose. i am going to try to start this thing up again to showcase some of my favourite albums i have listened to lately. excuse my limited vocabulary and shitty writing.
